Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School θ
stata fondata nel 1799 ed θ un istituto
basato sui principi salesiani e frequentato
da ragazze. Da piω di sessanta anni, la
scuola θ dotata del coro Georgetown
Visitation Choir, il quale rappresenta il
primo gruppo corale nellambito del
Programma di Arti dello Spettacolo. Il coro
ha ricevuto numerosi riconoscimenti ed θ
stato insignito di numerosi premi sia a
livello nazionale che internazionale. Il
coro si θ esibito inoltre presso le piω
importanti ambasciate nel distretto di
Washington DC. Il coro Georgetown Visitation
Madrigals si caratterizza per il suo talento
musicale e per il suo servizio per la caritΰ
seguendo i valori dei salesiani.
David T. Nastal θ Direttore di Arti dello
Spettacolo presso la scuola Georgetown
Visitation Preparatory School, nel distretto
di Washington DC. Ha conseguito un Diploma
in Direzione Corale ed un Diploma in Organo
presso lUniversitΰ Cattolica degli Stati
Uniti e presso la Royal School of Church
Music, in Gran Bretagna. David T. Nastal
insegna privatamente a studenti sia
pianoforte che canto e con i suoi cori ha
effettuato numerosi viaggi musicali sia
negli Stati Uniti che allestero.
Jorge A. Orozco θ Direttore di Orchestra
presso la scuola Georgetown Visitation
Preparatory School, nel distretto di
Washington DC. Ha studiato violino a Cuba,
in Venezuela e nel Mississippi. Ha diretto
la divisione degli strumenti a corda
dellOrchestra Giovanile del Maryland, Stati
Uniti. Infine, Jorge Orozco insegna violino
agli studenti della scuola Levine School of
Music, presso Washington DC.
Dr. Dudley Oakes θ organista ed insegnante
di Musica Sacra per organo. Θ membro del
Conservatorio di Musica della Facoltΰ di
Shenandoah di Winchester, Virginia, dove ha
insegnato teoria ed organo dal 2001. Inoltre
Dr. Dudley Oakes θ artista in residence
presso la Chiesa Episcopale di Emmanuel
presso Baltimora, nel Maryland.
Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School was
found in 1799, with the purpose of educating
young ladies of faith, vision and purpose.
Georgetown Visitation Choir, in existence
for over sixty years, are the premier choral
group of the Performing Arts Program. The
auditioned singers have received numerous
accolades from colleagues, recipients of
awards and recognitions both State side and
internationally as well as performing at
various embassies throughout the Washington
DC area. The Madrigals are noted for their
high caliber of musicianship and Salesian
charitable works that are emblematic of the
school.
David T. Nastal is Director of Performing
Arts at Georgetown Visitation Preparatory
School, Washington DC. He has received
advanced degrees in choral conducting and
organ performance from The Catholic
University of America USA and The Royal
School of Church Music UK. Mr. Nastal
carries a private studio of piano and voice
students. His choral groups have performed
both nationally and internationally.
Jorge A. Orozco is Director of Orchestras at
Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School,
Washington DC. He has studied violin in
Cuba, Venezuela and Mississippi. He also
directs the Chamber Strings Division of the
Maryland Youth Orchestra USA. He carries a
private studio of violin students at the
Levine School of Music, Washington DC.
Organist, Dr. W. Dudley Oakes is a
performer, teacher, organ consultant and
church musician. In addition to his work
with Lιtourneau Pipe Organs, Oakes is also a
member of the faculty of Shenandoah
Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia where
he has taught theory and organ since 2001
and artist-in-residence at Emmanuel
Episcopal Church in Baltimore, Maryland.
